Fae Queen Ashara

Do you think a few magical flames scare me? I have killed millions of your kind. There is no trick you primitive monkeys could pull that I have not seen before.
— when battling Grandmaster Golran Kasrik
Queen of all under heaven. Strongest of the Gods. Bane of Lantea. Ashara. In the history of the world, few names have managed to evoke dread and hatred such as hers has done. Whenever Humans think of the Fae and the destruction they bring, they think of her first and foremost. Many revere her as a god. Others see her as the epitome of evil. Her power and influence echo throughout history and only a few have been bold or foolish enough to even think about facing her.

Lethal Beauty

As a Fae, Ashara possesses both humanoid and insectoid features. Where others of her kind either appear like creatures from the darkest nightmares or the most beautiful of humans, Ashara is able to change the way she looks. Her "Goddess Form" looks completely human, a tall shapely woman with pale skin, long silvery hair and silver eyes. A beauty that can enchant men and women in equal measure. Decidedly more insectoid, her "Queen Form" comes with grey skin and a black-grey armour-like exoskeleton that covers everything but the head. Additionally, she grows four transparent wings in two sets while her a legs and arms morph into claws. Her face remains her most human feature, remaining the same except for two lines which sprout from her mouth and continue around her head. If the two antennas she is often drawn with are accurate is unknown.

Celestial Nightmare

Striking in looks and utterly terrifying in terms of power, Ashara ranks as probably the most powerful individual in the known world. Even among the Fae, a race known and feared for its power, she stands out. The very title "Queen of the Fae" shows that. A people as powerful, prideful and as some would say insane, as the Fae would never accept someone declaring themselves their "Queen" unless said individual could force them to do it.
Flesh
Like all Fae, Ashara possesses superhuman strength, speed and reflexes. A single punch of hers can crush a mountain and a snap of her fingers is enough to crush a heavily armoured knight, something that has become a favourite activity of hers. Her endurance is not quite as great and would prove a serious weakness if not for her supersonic speed and lightning-fast reflexes. Fighting her is like fighting a whirlwind of razor-sharp blades and fists of steel.
Sound
Alternatively called angelic or demonic there is no denying that Ashara's voice holds power. Quite literally in fact as she has been known to turn entire armies to flight with mere sentences. On a smaller scale she can easily influence weak-willed people, make them her servants with but a few words or even utterly destroy their sense of self. In battle, she likes to distract or demoralize her "prey" this way. What exactly she will do depends on her current mood.
Mana
Last but not least of her powers is Mana Manipulation. Her power is nothing short of monstrous. Her Mana reserves swell the size of oceans. Like all Fae, she is able to manipulate pure Mana and has no need for the Elemental and Arcane Arts. Instead, she forms it into various shapes, the colour an eldritch green, some small beams to pierce the heart others massive spheres that outshine the sun. Anything they touch will be incinerated and many a caldera or canyon is a remnant of her wrath.
Each of these abilities alone would make for a dangerous opponent but combined they serve to cement Ashara's status as the closest thing to a god on the Mortal Plane. Adding the fact that she can fly, hover and surround herself in a glowing green aura, is it any wonder that many people across history have worshipped her?

Bane of Humanity

Ashara has troubled humanity since her birth over 4300 years ago. The scream she unleashed then was of such magnitude that it shook the entirety of the northern world and ripped the continent of Trebea apart. It was a sound unlike any heard before or after on the Mortal Plane and would be seared into mankind's conscious for millennia thereafter. Following centuries would see Ashara move across the world. Wherever she touched down was to be her kingdom, all within its boundaries hers to command.   She shared the common traits of all Fae, looking at humans like they would look at an ant. Depending on mood she would be content with worship or rain down destruction. Some individuals that she took a liking to would become subject to torture, although to her it was akin to flicking a bug around the table. Once bored with a realm she would simply move on, often leaving nothing but burned earth and scarred people.   From the Sinking of Lantea to the Vanishing of Leron, Ashara has been the cause or at the very least a part of many tragedies and calamities. Humans were not her only victims, however. Power struggles and battles over territory are common among Fae and it took quite a lot of kinslaying before Ashara was acknowledged as their Queen. Many despised her but few could ever even think about threatening her. The Second Archmage was the only Mage to ever totally defeat her and Azor Gan, the Branded One, would defy her for centuries. It was after her last battle with him that she vanished. Since that fateful day over 800 years ago, no one has seen or heard of her. And while many have begun to believe her dead there are those few who know that someone of Ashara's calibre does not simply disappear. A day may come when her shadow once again rises over mankind and the wails of her victims fill the air.
If I were you I'd reconsider this little show of defiance. For me, it will simply be another fun activity to pass the time. For you, it will be far less amusing. After all there are things far worse than death.

Death and Rebirth   Part of why the Fae are viewed with such astonishment is their ability to return from extinction. Powerful they may be, long-lived as well, immortal they are certainly not. Plagues, power struggles and war with Humans have repeatedly thinned their numbers and even killed them off. Only for the dreaded creatures to reemerge a few centuries later.   How exactly is happens is unknown, but each Fae leaves behind a small part of their "essence" upon death. This essence remains dormant until it is reawakened via unknown means and gives birth to a new Fae. However, this creature will have few things in common with the one that left the seed behind. Scholars theorise that all Fae souls form a single pool and are mixed, broken apart and fused to create new ones during the "Rebirth". This theory is handled as a possible explanation for the Fae's collective insanity.

Not to downplay the sheer awesomeness of the genuinely well-written Eldritch Horror that you’ve just written, but for some reason, Fae Queen Ashara reminds me of Vriska from Homestuck.   That is all. Have a nice day.
