PANTHEON is a sci-fantasy universe taking features from others like it, such as Ringworld, Discworld, Dark Tower, and with a gratuitous helping of theoreticals from Isaac Arthur. It primarily functions as a base of operations for a grand array of potential storytelling venues, including use in storytelling as well as in tabletop settings.   Even the most remote descriptions of massive would fall flat in describing the proportions of certain aspects contained within. The initial setting takes place within Pandorax, a binary system consisting of seven planets and two stars, although it wouldn't appear so simple through just a telescope. The star Xi is visible to the naked eye, but On is concealed within Diablisi, a supermassive dyson sphere. The gravity involved causes it to appear like four of the remaining nearby planets revolve around Diablisi like moons. A majority of the inhabitants are present on Diablisi, with the other planets and satellites and orbiting stations present primarily for industry- power, shipping, production, mining operations and more.   On the surface, the world is notably peaceful, though there does exist factions which would seek to upset the balance. Nobody knows the exact origin of Diablisi, but there's more than enough space for it to be settled by so many different people, and it has been for quite some time. Many civilizations made passage and safe landing, and continue to live there to this day. Day and night pass on the internal surface with the help of this rotating grid of black panels, weaving in and out of each other, absorbing the light of On perfectly to simulate a dimmer state. The exterior has some atmosphere and similar living conditions, but obviously with quite a wider timeframe between days and nights. It's a calling place for many, as, for as long as civilizations look to the stars and see it, they do come. Almost always in a similar pattern, as first scientists, then those gifted few, and later tourists and settlers alike, come seeking adventure and discoveries beyond their current comprehension. Especially because, well, it's one of the places that magic isn't just an oddity, it's almost expected.   Magic on Diablisi is plentiful, but strange. Mana isn't mental or incorporeal, it's physical in nature. Mana pools are not easy to access, but they are plentiful. Often to gain the power that they offer, adventurers need pass a test or trial. Even the easiest of these could likely kill the unprepared, but offer power satisfying enough to draw people to them. Once access is garnered, use of magic is permitted by any crystal taken from that pool, or even in its liquid form- though this happens much less frequently, there are few who utilize flasks to store their mana.   Adventurers are not in any way limited by just accessing magic, either. It seems as though whenever necessary, dungeons are simply discovered where they may very well have been easily overlooked before. The complexity of these varies, and their origins are mysterious, but oftentimes are responsive to the arrival of something or somebody they deem worthy. Even lower-complexity dungeons offer a decent reward, and though these rewards vary, its possible for them to even be seeding the knowledge of deeper mysteries through their puzzles.
