Pangaea: Unity or Chaos

Pangaea is a super continent, with more landmass than the people know what to do with, and plenty of places for the unknown to hide. Pangaea is also a land of ever fluctuating balance, whether between people, nations or even the elements it was born from. And sometimes, the balance of fate itself shifts.   Through a long and unrecorded time of unstructured war and chaos, the people and races of the world split into several self-governed nations and went their own ways. When the balance of the world shifted too much towards the Chaos, the Gods themselves descended to Pangaea. Chaos was pushed back and many centuries of relative peace occurred. The Gods knew they couldn't remain, and each chose a successor to take part of their power and act as Guardians against the Chaos. In time each Guardian would do the same, passing on to the next the will and power of their ancient Gods.   The story I plan to weave is one of intrigue, adventure, survival, but most of all, a story about heroes of legend.
