Elector Lord Laverna Nelius, of Mythero
The seventh Elector Lord of Mythero, Laverna is regarded as a skilled politician, but ruthless as a leader. Mythero has prospered greatly under her rule, but at the expense of what many would consider to be personal freedoms of its people.
As The Empire's only land-locked Elector State, Laverna struggles to have her region acknowledged as being as important as the others, despite its mineral wealth.
In recent years, Laverna has pushed for colonists to cross through the passes in the eastern Edge Mountains and create Imperial colonies on the west coast. Progress has been slow; disease is rife, and Sakamohr raiders are constant threat, but she continues to encourage it, hopeful that it will enhance Mythero's prospects.

Personal history
Laverna's father died in the Grey Plague outbreak of 1877 that killed almost one in five of the Empire's population, and left her mother, Angelia, scarred with poxmarks. When Tycho, Laverna's grandfather, died in 1890, Angelia took the lordship, but her heart was not in the role and she stayed out of public view until she died only 2 years later.
This left the position to Laverna, and she was made Elector Lord aged 49. She quickly implemented her own brand of rule, stifling dissent and ensuring her nobles acted similarly. Her tactics were not overly popular, and she has put down two revolts during the 14 years of her rule so far, displaying a ruthless streak in punishing not only the dissenters, but entire villages.
Her eldest child is now 37, and spends most of his time in Belyos, quietly disapproving of his mothers actions, and waiting for her to die so that more temperate hands may take the reins of Mythero. If Laverna is aware of her childs disapproval, she has not stated, insisting that her forceful rule is essential for the state's best interests.
