Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

Due their unusual reproduction, and since they agroup themselves in small settlements that hardly ever hold more than one hundred inhabitants, the concept of a last name or a family name is ailen to the Monoclop Tradition.   The most common naming tradition amongst Monoclops, is the usage of the last sylabe of earch parent's names, aligned to form a new, two sylabe name. This rule applies to all settlement's children with the exeption of those designated as Nest Warden, who are instead given a name that is a variation of the prior Nest Warden's, usually on the last sylabe or bowel.

Average Technological Level

Their technology is archaic, at best. Usually withdrawn from other species' settlements, more often than not Monoclop tribes are unaware of the technological discoveries happening on their planet, an therefore, many still live in Bronze Age conditions.   This is not the absolute norm however, as those tribes who stablish comercial, simbiotic, or otherwise benefical relationships with other species, are more prone to look onto this new technologies. However, tribes tend to be set in their ways, so while the oldest, best settled tribes may be in contact with modern knowledge they will still (if at all) be likely to only incorporate the artifacts and information that are useful for the tribe's survival.

Common Etiquette Rules

Inhabitants at times of some of the harsher biomes the planet has to offer, Monoclops may close themselves away from the rest of the world, but they distinct themselves for their hospitality towards wanderers. It is customary that any person in need of aid found on the surroundings of a settlement, be it whatever of the sapient species, is taken to the tribe's shaman and aided in the realms of whae can be done.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

The interspecies relations between monoclops and other species are lacking for the most part. The relationships with otsiders are usually either handled by the tribe's shaman or a messenger, so most of the inhabitants of a tribe can spend their entire lives without meeting a member of other species unless one is brought into the settlement.   However, those groups who form simbiotic relationships with another species, like the Likea tribe on the Manglar Forest, interact constantly with their simbiontic counterparts, and in consequence, with the species their partner interacts with.
