The Church of Valeria

Those dedicated to Valeria fall on both sides of soldiers and civic leaders, as well as many community-minded individuals. Within the higher ranks of the church, that split still holds true, but Valeria and the high clerics acknowledge the need for both sides of that coin; That we need both glorious, heroic soldiers to keep back the tide of evil, as well civilian leaders growing and bolstering the city. Politically, the church tends to seek a balance between dedicating resources to armies and city infrastructure - trying to keep in mind that every person contributes to the city's survival. When matters of justice arise, Valeria and her followers favour allowing the wicked to redeem themselves, and started the push for the first penal legions.
