A pale, semi-translucent and slight merfolk, with multiple stinging tendrils and a fondness for books. Merfolk adopt the form of sea creatures they're born near, but Jellyfish is viewed as somewhat of a curse; with diminished physical strength, an inability to speak and a problem with touching other creatures. Melody tends to shut herself in the small, enchanted pool in the bowels of the ship, along with her books.
