Tharadwi Marken Tunnels

Deorma lacks a formal prison system, for the main reason that people usually take care of their criminals on their own, by whatever means they deem fit. This mostly ends in violence, but there are exceptions to this. Sometimes someone has wronged you and death isn't necessary but they still need to suffer. This is where the Tharadwi Marken Tunnels come in. Notoriously difficult to escape from once inside.
They can be found in the west, or possibly the south. Reports of those who have emerged from one of the tunnels are scattered and rather vague. Inconclusive evidence, even for the Deormic. Regardless of where they exist in the physical space, the tunnels were most likely designed as an escape route by some past residents of the area. Or perhaps they enjoyed mazes.
In any case, if one has a person that one wants to keep detained for a time without actually tying them up, they are taken to the tunnels and dropped through the hole that exists over the central chamber. Sometimes also with food, but usually not. This person is then left to wander the tunnels until they find their way out, or else someone takes pity on them and figures out how to teleport them out of there.
