Palace Catacombs
Overview
The Palace Catacombs are a series of secret tunnels beneath The Royal Palace of Éirigh, the true purpose of which is known only to The Royal Family, the Captain of The Royal Guard, and the personal guards for each member of the family. They were created as part of the foundation of the Palace to be used as an emergency escape route disguised as a tomb if the Royal Family should ever come under attack, and are perhaps the kingdom's best kept secret.
The tunnels lead all the way from the Palace to the Woods of Escaine, and it was this very route Sir Éalaigh Casey used to save Prince Finnlay Slánaitheoir during The First Great Dynastic Shift.
