Stalactite Chambers
Deep within The Depths, chambers have been discovered with stalactites of an unknown crystal. There are currently six discovered chambers, over twelve metres high each, with most stalactites hanging at least six metres above the floor. Some stalactites show evidence of having been partially mined in the past.
There is no easy path known to these chambers at this point. As such, only a few researchers have been escorted here so far, while professional mining is not yet possible. Explorers and researchers report that the stalactites have a peculiar magical feeling to them. Investigation of procured samples hint at the possibility that these crystals were used in producing the runes found all over the valley.
It is advised that a safe path is cleared to these crystal chambers as soon as possible, so that enough can be mined to further investigate this theory. If true, it may allow reproduction of the runes or further study to better understand their exact functionality. Perhaps these crystals can play a role in improving overall safety.
