Keeper Notes
Once the scenario begins and the investigators arrive at the restaurant, put the Mr. Steven Knott character into play. Once Mr. Knott has provided the investigators with information about the house and other locations where they may gather more information, give the players Clues C01 and C02. Then put the following locations into play: The Boston Globe, The Central Library, The Hall of Records, and The Corbitt House.
Give the players time to absorb the information, discuss matters and decide on a course of action. Some players will be keen to head straight to the house, but there is a very real possibility they will fail to successfully complete the scenario if they do so. You may suggest that they would be better off conducting some research first, or you may allow the situation to play out in the hopes that the investigators leave the house in retreat before they are all eliminated. Players whose investigators are eliminated do have the option of continuing the scenario with replacement investigators.
