PC GUIDE: Most players will come from one of the 5 City-States from the Ostoria Map. Most Players' Handbook (PHB), Xanathar's Guide to Everything (XGtE), and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything (TCoE) classes are supported by these realms with the notable exception of Wizard. Since The Titans’ War ended 300 years ago and specifically in the last century, the arcane magics that liberated the races from the rule of Dragon and Giant alike has been long absent. Enough lore exists that most who study the arcane arts can achieve 4th level in any of the Schools of Magic. This gives them a basis in magic, but without a mentor or the spellbooks of the Archmages of the past, higher level magic, for now, eludes these mages. That is not to say there are no wizards: from time to time some tomes thought lost to time are uncovered, and an insightful few manage to make sense of the arcane writings within these grimoires and begin rebuilding the knowledge needed to become something more than a mere dabbler of magic. Warlocks exist, but tend to make their pacts in secret with the exception of Archfey and Celestial patrons. While folk are not openly hostile toward them, they tend to be wary around them as their allegiances are divided. Of all the arcane casters, Bards and Sorcerers are the most respected as their magics are steeped in the blood, song, and lore of the peoples of Ostoria.
