A world with a deep and long history that has seen the birth and fall of many civilizations and what remains is a shattered and old land. From the time of the first elves, a omnipotent and powerful magic has seeped through the land tying the binds of the physical and metaphysical together. Men forge empires wide and far, Elves crouch and conspire in their hidden forest enclaves, Dwarves ostracize themselves deep in the mountains to study the secrets of the earth.   The stories of this worlds hidden and mysterious past has been lost to time and buried deep with in the earth by vengeful gods. The oldest beings on Osterria barely can remember the civilization that came before them. But in locations that are hard to reach or encompassed with danger, there are rare relics and artifacts that sing a song of a time long before the first men when the world was raw and magic was potent.   Those times have longed passed and now magic is taught in fewer schools across the world and some countries coming to out right fear it in the wake of a new religion or incident with dark magics. Empires are set in stone and political tension are always on high as resources are become more limited as the ages go one. Recent discovers of old magics in locations far from civilization have taken the hearts of men with a fervor and dreams of untold riches and power. A new arms race is building and friction between allies and enemies alike is at a new all time high.   Adventurers in the world must keep a weary eye over their shoulder as greed and desperation has gripped the soul of the people. All that glitters is gold and blood in these lands and as the frozen north grows stronger with each winter threaten to plunge the world into ice, steel and spell may be the only thing to keep the wanderer alive.
