Korborin

"This is no gift. The Rak'kinthar are not the only ones cursed, we are as well. The corrupted are merely blessed with a madness that gives them the courage to leave this place."
— Heirith
She moved quietly amongst the dense fog along with two others, each one carrying the markings of The Spine. In her left hand, she carried a strong long bow that she had brought with her to this place she now is forced to call home. Her arrows across her back made wooden clicks every time she stumbled over a loose rock, which wasn't often now. The terrain was growing familiar the longer she stayed and, so was the sickness. Her scavenging party was searching for supplies and more importantly food from anywhere they could salvage it from, which was mostly off of the dead that never made it through The Spine. This party had found nothing along the rock covered land and were heading toward the Arthion. She heard sounds of footsteps ahead of her. She signaled her followers to hold and knocked her bow. She hoped this time it was a survivor like her but, part of her hoped it was not. No more mouths to feed and no more to pity for living. She only wished she could leave this place and wouldn't want someone else surviving the sickness just to go mad another way. Her bow was ready. The silhouette of a person was just visible through the fog. She tightened her grip and aimed. "Show yourself!" Nothing but scuffles. "Are you afflicted!?" The scuffles turned into a quick jog and then into a run toward her. Without hesitation, she released an arrow. It quickly struck through the heart, as always. After she heard the sound of the body fall she slung her bow across her shoulders and went to investigate. As she came closer, the body was seizing and a Vilnian's red eyes pierced through the fog. "Another Rak'kinthar."

The Korborin have a strange sense that could only accurately be described as magical. Making their home in the fog covered mountains of The Spine, they instinctively know their way. They conjure their unique magical abilities amongst themselves but, it is always for a price. They are infected by the same corruption as the Rak'kinthar but, it's effects are slower and less intense.
