The Wardens

The Wardens are a strong mercenary company, where a majority of their members serve The Empire and the Empress directly as high up commanders of the military. While they're the most powerful and expensive out of all the mercenaries in Orywall, locating them is a difficult task, as The Empire keeps them rather close. Their base of operations is likely someplace in Nyer.

Structure

Wardens consider themselves to be equal, with no discernible hierarchy within. There are currently twelve members of The Wardens. These six warriors paired along with their Katzen are rumored to be the strongest found in Aewish, and possibly the entirety of Orywall. They're relatively recognized and feared within certain circles, their names echoed across the land.

Public Agenda

Initially formed by Emperor Vulmer, Wardens were an elite, specially chosen group to protect The Empire and higher nobility within. After the emperor's death and his daughter assumed the throne, The Wardens fell apart, becoming a corrupt mercenary band. It's unknown why those who are still present continue to work, but they don't have a difficult time obtaining contracts given their expertise and infamy. As far as the public is aware, they work to merely work.

Assets

The Wardens have expensive and highly sought after equipment, often ripped straight from the hands of their enemies. They find what they can, using whatever works best for the job. They aren't beyond stealing or killing to get what they need.
