Treaty of Anti-Extermination

Purpose

To establish a duty to eliminate individuals, groups or organizations that seek to exterminate any race or civilization among all kingdoms. It is also used to establish the consequences for breaking the terms of the treaty for all kingdoms that signed it.

Document Structure

Clauses

There is a short introduction that specifies the reason for the document's creation and what it's purpose is. Beneath that are sections from each kingdom, authored by the monarchs that ruled them at the time, outlining and describing the measures they will take to prevent any further extermination. At the bottom is a section describing the consequences of breaking the terms of the treaty, followed by the signatures of each monarch.

Caveats

If any kingdom breaks the terms of the treaty, the responsibility will fall upon the monarch and they will be forced to relinquish power to someone else.

Publication Status

Each monarch has the document published in their courts and copies of the document are accessible to the public upon request. Copies of the document are printed on whatever material the copiers decide appropriate.

Legal status

The treaty is valid under the jurisdiction of each of the kingdoms on the main continent of Orya. This does not apply to individually owned land that is exempt from the jurisdiction of the kingdoms, as well as to islands and other continents on Orya.

Historical Details

Background

The Treaty of Anti-Extermination was drafted in the aftermath of the Human Eradication Incident, which caused a heavy portion of the Human population to be exterminated. In response, the monarchs for each race gathered together and formed a treaty to oppose anyone or anything that would cause such an event to happen again.

Legacy

This document established each kingdom's dedication and commitment to preventing an atrocity like the Human Eradication Incident from happening ever again. It is widely revered across the continent and unofficially upholds the peace between nations.
