Golden Minotaurs
Golden Minotaurs are creatures that are very popular in the land of the Wudmeri. They aren't very common, and as such they are taken care of by the Wudmeri that do come across them. Often they are kept in special farms to allow them to breed and reproduce. Any Wudmeri lucky enough to come across a Golden Minotaur never has to worry about wealth ever again.
In the wild forests of Fordonia, Golden Minotaurs are very rare. They are so rare, in fact, that more unicorns have been discovered than Golden Minotaurs. This is likely due to Teras creating them as a rare gift to the mortals that found good favor in her, or perhaps they were hunted long ago, before recorded history, for their horns, hooves and hides, which are all made of solid gold. The real truth about why they are so rare may never be known, but their rarity gives them an inherent beauty in the eyes of the Wudmeri of today, who are focused on treating rare species with respect and care, so as to avoid causing them to go extinct.
The Wudmeri build special farms for Golden Minotaurs to live on. These are typically customized to suit the specific needs of the Golden Minotaurs, including their large intake of minerals every day, as well as their need for wide open areas. These farms can usually be found to be somewhere around 20 square kilometres in size. Golden Minotaurs can consume up to 100 kilograms of minerals every day, and if they don't get that much food they will begin to grown weak and their golden skin will begin to tarnish.
Golden Minotaurs are farmed for their droppings most of the time, which come out as piles of solid gold. This gold is the same as any other gold, and can be sold for a high price at shops. When a Golden Minotaur dies, its hide, hooves and horns are all harvested for their gold. No part of the creature is wasted, and what doesn't get used is turned into food.
