Orlon is home to several species that all at varying stages of technological and sociological advancement. The balance however, was shifted by a mysterious figure who emerged several hundreds years prior.   No one really knows if this figure is the same individual, as that would defy the lifespan of even the most long lived of them. It is clear, however, that with this figure came advanced knowledge of technology, as well as the means to allow a technological advancement at a completely different rate that had be experienced by the mysterious figure.   One of the strange geological features of the planet is its freshwater ocean. In what appears to be a staggering reversal of Earth's geology, saltwater coasts and saltwater lakes exist amongst a vast freshwater ocean.
