Harbinger of Order Damyioh (a.k.a. Chained Architect)
"When the Winged Watchers descended from the heavens, piercing the thick and chaotic clouds, they brought with them the light of the sun. Giving every lost and dying soul a beacon of hope which was seen throughout the darkened and lawless lands. The Winged Watcher known as Damyioh, Herald of Law cut their chest, spilling their hearts blood upon the desperate masses to nourish them, telling them the truth found within the Book of Law to enlighten them, and upon that day those which drank of his blood were blessed with their first born having the blood of the Winged Watchers."
A bloody left-hand with ring & baby finger clenched against the palm, while the middle, index, and thumb all flay out as far as they can.
Educate the Ignorant. So may they never feel the wrath of the commanding fire.
Pity the Lost. So they may never grow desperate and find another path.
Hallow the Ground. So that none will walk on the tainted path.
Scourge the Darkened. So that they may never block the light.
Embody the Righteous. So that you may never be blind.
Festival of the Enlightenment. The Oracles of the Temple of Damyioh (his mortal home) foretell of a day that the sun will be blocked out by a celestial body, and that when the darkness is expunged that every mortal will be forgiven of their past actions against Dalnenra, Keeper of the Sun. That is why all of his Oracles are blind, for they looked upon the eclipse, and they sacrificed their mortal vision for knowledge of the Heavens Above.
Educate humanity so that they may turn away the Darkness.
Physical Description
Damyioh is a very tall human-like being, standing at nearly seven feet tall, he would be defined as quite literally the epitome of being perfect in nearly every single way. From the long and shimmering white strands of hair that fell from his head to the muscular body made manifest to appear healthy and fit. To some, the depiction of Damyioh as a healthy and vigorous young man can be seen as offensive, and prefer to have a more modest appearance to an old man in robes that he was said to be in the years before his imprisonment.
His skin is a pale peach color, and his complexion doesn't have a single blemish. His features are angular and sharp. There is not a single strand of hair outside of his brows, eyelashes, and that which fell from his head.
A chin like that of a broadhead arrow, cheekbones that complimented the angular face of his, and a brow that carried a light brow with white hair.
A scar across his chest from when he first gave his heart's blood to give to humanity. As well as tattoos made with gold that depict chains across his wrists and ankles to symbolize his imprisonment.
Rarely ever took a step without seemingly having practiced it in his head a hundred times in the second prior to making it. Interestingly enough, he is never depicted with his eyes closed, as it is said that he never blinks, or is forbidden from doing so. Alternatively, it is said he is so fearful of the dark that he simply does not blink.
Damyioh can communicate telepathically, disappear and reappear at will (from mortals), capable of scrying across the dimensions (which can be done freely towards anyone with his blood), and able to recall any piece of information so long as he knows its name.
He wears a deep royal blue hooded robe, decorated with gold enchanted with holy magic, it was said it was to keep Dalnenra from noticing his absence in the Heavens. A dagger as light as a feather made of a steel so pure it appears to be silver was always seen in his right hand up until his imprisonment. With that, when he was imprisoned, he began to be depicted with chains around his wrists and ankles.
Mental characteristics
Damyioh was the first and original Winged Watcher to descend from the heavens. As the story goes, he pierced the heavens and came down onto the earth to enlighten all mortal men and women. Teaching them how to follow the Book of Law, so that the Age of Trial may be forgotten in time.
Despite the gender fluidity of all Winged Watchers, most would call Damyioh by he/him, and it is believed that he also referred to himself as such.
Damyioh's sexuality is not defined in the Book of Law, or told by the scriptures and stories following it. However, it is stated he "fathered" children, and that the mortal men and women who drank from his blood were blessed so that their children would become the first mortal Winged Watchers.
As the second most favored and blessed Winged Watcher, he is the one who taught mortals about the Book of Law, and therefore, the one who taught them knowledge itself.
Once second to only one in the Heavens Above, he was a powerful and respected Winged Watcher. His efforts to keep order in heavens went perfectly, but some say his ambition overtook him, or that boredom eased its way into his mind, as he would be the first to attempt to bring order back to the mortal realm. However, the events of such an action, it sealed his fate to be imprisoned for eternity in the Nine Hells.
As the stories say, time and time again, he was the one to bring law and order to the humans of Archevon. He taught them the tenants of the Book of Law, and enlightened them on how to defend themselves from the invisible forces of the Darkness. However, he also taught them relatively mundane things such as wielding holy fire, how to defend themselves, and fathered the children of the Winged Watchers.
Damyioh was also known to have taught the other angels how to descend from the heavens, and plotted to cast Heaven down from the skies so that mortals and divine order may become one. Which, he failed in doing so. Because of this, he and his descendants were made barren, and would never be able to reproduce after 17 generations.
Damyioh, for as powerful as he is, is abhorrently afraid of the dark. Some believe that this fear was the cause of his desire to split the clouds of heaven to allow light to fall upon the earth once more, teach the humans how to wield holy fire, and taught them how to construct their societies through the tenants of the Book of Law, which one tenant states that a torch must be left outside of one's doorway if one sleeps within.
For all Winged Watchers held very few characteristics that separated themselves from one another, all being intelligent and (supposedly) almost infallible beings, what separated Damyioh was his intense ambition.
Damyioh, by all standards, is a Lawful Good entity. His standards are far above normal men and women, but he is arguably able to be understood and therefore, he is able to be embodied. His pursuit of acting as a teacher, parent, and architect to all things to all humans is seen as charitable. However, others may view it as ambition in its purest form.
Personality Characteristics
The desire to douse all Darkness within Archevon.
Patient, charitable, diligent, and kind.
Ambitious, gluttonous (in the sense that he cannot be sated by his accomplishments), and deceitful.
Social
His connection to the mortal realm is still powerful through the prayer of those who follow the Book of Law, especially amongst those who revere him above Dalnenra.
He and his siblings, including Dalnenra, are related through their celestial heritage, having been conceived but also paradoxically never born, at least, until the knowledge of the Book of Law was brought down from the Heavens Above by Damyioh.
Despite everything, and even if he was the one to introduce the Book of Law to the humans, he is still not the one who wrote it. To the mortals, his knowledge is second to only Dalnenra who was and still is above him in terms of knowledge of the universe.
He is charming man, never one to boast about his accomplishments, but also never one to shy away from making more. It is said he has fathered many children, and the love mortals held for him was beyond that of the physical.
Despite being a fairly tall being, he would always turn his chin down to those who addressed him, and despite the danger of celestial contact with mortals, he always made sure to invite them into his home on the mortal plane (which has been turned into a holy site upon Archevon by the faithful of the Book of Law).
Sister (Important)
Towards Damyioh, Herald Of Law
Brother (Vital)
Towards Dalnenra, Keeper of the Sun
History
Dalnenra was the first born Winged Watcher, entrusted to keep the sun in the sky and to keep the clouds high above the ground where all mortals are found. Damyioh descended from Heaven Above, and would lead the mortal-realm onto a path that was never planned by Dalnenra. Or so, it is believed.
Nicknames & Petnames
Dalnenra referred to Damyioh as her Brother, and in turn, Damyioh referred to her as his sister.
Relationship Reasoning
Both existed upon the same clouds above Archevon, however, Archevon always spent his time making sure that the Kingdom of the Heaven Above would manage in her self-isolated meditation.
Commonalities & Shared Interests
Both seek to bring Law to the realm of Archevon, which, both may have succeeded in bringing it, it does not mean their job is done.
Shared Secrets
Dalnenra convinced Damyioh that his duty was to bring order to the Heavens Above. The secret that Dalnenra found in her century-long isolation was that Damyioh was the one destined to bring order to all of Archevon, but it would bring on an apocalyptic event that would combine both the mortal realm and that of the Heaven Above.
