Sanna Feild

Sanna is a 16 year old girl born in Levivet and currently living in Fuldus. Always on her side is her pet and partner, a small fire hamster named Apollo. Not only is she the first and only person known to create sentient fire animals, but is also one of the few direct pupils of Krista Glas. Her unique skill attracts, despite her shy demeanour and humbleness, many enviers which led to Krista hiring Jennifer Wutbruch, a bodyguard, to protect her at all times.

Appearance

Living with her firey companion reflects in her choice of style.
Starting by cutting her hair shorter, tying it up in a little ponytail and wearing clothes made of wool to lessen the chance of it catching fire.
Her Trademark accessories are a small watering can she wears on the left side of her belt to extinguish accidental fires and a lantern on the right side of her belt to carry her partner Apollo.
Not all showings of her work with fire are voluntary though, a wide burn scar, which she got from her first encounter with Apollo, spreads over the palm of her right hand.

Early Childhood

Born to a farmer family at the outskirts of Levivet, Sanna had a quiet but safe life. The most exhilarating thing happening was when the cities merchants came and brought their pets for Senna to play with while they stocked up on wheat or other produce gathered from the livestock living at the farm.
So her life continued until the age of six. That year a drought swept over the eastern parts of orcerta and as if it wasn't enough for the farmers to try and upkeep their fields and livestock during a drought, they had to constantly fight off emerging wildfires.
It went well for the first half of the season, but in the morning of one especially dry day, a fire developed near the Feild's farm.
Nobody noticed it until it was too late, the resulting fire not only consumed the field of the Feilds and surrounding farmer but also burned down most of their houses and shelters for the animals.
For the Feilds, nothing was left after the fire was finally under control.

Scarred by this catastrophe both of Sannas parents tried to get back on track and took on full-time jobs in the inner city while trying to rebuild their farm.
This left Sanna alone with the neighbour's kids, who shared her fate.
Seeing that Sanna was doing worse and worse by the day, her mother decided to write a letter to her Sister in Mensus to inquire if Sanna could live with her until everything is settled.

Not even a month later, things were settled and under tears the family parted with promises of visits and letters.

Late Childhood

The drastic cultural change from an idyllic farm life to living in a bustling city, paired with an inherent feeling of loneliness after leaving her friends and family behind, was a lot for the now seven-year-old Sanna and while she often went with her mother to shop in the inner parts of Levivet, living in places like this always was "too much everything" as Sanna said.
This led to her closing off to everyone, not even her aunt, who she normally adored and joked around with managed to bring a smile to her face anymore.
Neither could the letter she got from her family back in Levivet. A year passed and with every letter, she hoped that she could finally return home.
Mensus felt oppressive and suffocating to her, she missed nature; so she often ran away from her aunt and didn't return until the sun was setting.
Her aunt would always scold her in a strict but loving way, yet it did not stop Sanna from running away on a nearly daily basis.
One day though, her adventures got the best of her and she got lost while strolling through the forest. Panic set in she ran through the forest, every crack of a branch and every cry of an animal setting off her alarms more and more.
Not making progress she sought shelter in the nearest crevasse she could find. The sun now fully gone, she sobbed but kept as quiet as she could - her father tought her, to stay silent and sheltered in the night, to not alert any nocturnal predators.

With no way of telling the time she silently cried until late in the night and the moment she was about to fall asleep, she spotted a faint light from the corner of her eye.
Cautiously she crept closer and found it to be a small flame coming out of the ground or, upon closer inspection, coming from a small white stone.
Furthermore, it seemed to have eyes... and ears... and a nose... it really looked like a hamster made of fire.
But this little creature seemed to have attracted others too, through the dim shine Sanna could make out the shape of a bird making a bee-line towards the little hamster. Without thinking she grabbed it and yelped as the stone scorched the palm of her hand, but she was too stubborn to let go and ran as far as she could clutching her new friend.
As soon as she thought her and her companion save, she softly lay the stone onto the ground again and looked with wide eyes at the now flameless stone.
Her shock soon faded as small flames began to slither out from the stone again and with a faint crack the hamster emerged again.
Slowly Sanna calmed down and thought about her situation. It was dark, not even stars were to be seen through the thick canopies, so the only source of light was her new friend; who could not move.
She spaced out and stared into the flames, only once she snapped out of her daze she noticed the little hamster staring back at her as if it was just waiting for its turn to speak.
As it noticed that it had the full attention of Sanna now, it started to intensely stare to the right of Sanna, always checking if Sanna was still watching it.
For reasons unknown to the young girl she understood what her companion wanted to tell her. Not wanting to get burned another time she shovelled the flaming stone together with its underlying dirt into her hands and began to wander the night another time, always following the hamster's gaze.
Her sleepwalking like state got broken once she spotted the lights of the city's main entrance, with all remaining energy Sanna sprinted to the house of her aunt, being not only greeted by her worry ridden face but a couple of policemen too.
With a happy but stern "We will talk about this tomorrow, but first you should get some rest" her aunt tucked her into bed.
She awoke with a shock, looking at her nightstand she couldn't find her new friend - was everything just a dream? Impossible, the small specks of dirt left on her nightstand were proof that it was real.
Sanna had to face her aunt first and probably get the scolding of a lifetime, so she made her way down into the kitchen, seeing her aunt sitting at the table, sipping tea and talking to someone.
When looking at the table Sanna was stunned, there it was! Her hamster! happily burning on a small pile of ash inside a small porcelain dish and being fed little woodchips by her aunt.
Before she could even say anything her aunt started and they had a very long heart to heart about the current situation and how it could be improved for everyone - Of course the curious little creature was also part of the topics and was given the name Apollo by the end of it.
The next day Sanna went out and bought a small lantern for Apollo so she can keep it always close to her.

Adolescence

A few years passed since the incident where she met Apollo, the now ten year old Sanna was way happier, still missing home but feeling better about her life in Mensus and her stay with her aunt.
By now Sanna even made some friends, one of them is Maria, the daughter of a blacksmith, who helped Sanna craft her own new lantern and watering can for Apollo.
One day when she strolled over the market to buy groceries, she crossed ways with Krista who instantly recognized that Apollo was not just some little gimmick a young fire-wielder would create, but something special.
The two exchanged a few words, Sanna was given Kristas business card and invited to tea to talk about a few things - and of course with her aunt.
Unsure if she should accept the invitation of this - in her eyes - weird lady she went home and told her aunt about it who advised her, with a voice jittering from joy, to go and talk to her.
