The title of "Leader of Balance" or "Balance Leader" is held by one personal at a time over the whole continent of Orcerta. It is widely regarded as the most important title a person can hold and as such, a title that demands great respect.
Holding the Title
Holding the title of Balance Leader is not only a great honour but also a great burden, each decision made is of utmost importance and can influence the future of the whole continent.
A wrong decision now could lead to a war in the future. Doing one thing by neglecting another could bear unforseen consequences down the line.
As such it is paramount that the Leader of Balance is at their top game each day, each hour, yes, each minute of the day.
This leads to their governing period widely varying, unlike most professions, especially in politics, the Leader of Balance has no set presiding time and can lead Orcerta as long as they see fit, if the populus agrees.
Not having a set governing period means that the citizens of every city as well as the members of the Inner and Outer Balance can call for a re-election at any time if they think the current holder is not good enough anymore.
Electing a Leader
Electing a leader is a spectacle over the whole continent, it has no specific time when it happens due to the variable time frame of a Balance Leaders governing period.
Only Individuals who already served as members of the Inner or Outer Balance can run for election.
It does not matter if it is a current or former member of any Balance Council as long as they served their full term without incidents.
It is however possible that a person can run for this title before their term has ended if all council members, including the Leader of Balance, vote majorly in favour for it.
