Orc Sighted World

Across the dense forest of the South, across rolling hills of the North and over the Great Mountains a beast has awoken that will shake the Kingdom of Istagar to it's very core.   For months now Eleven raids in the south have increased to worrying frequencies and only seem to increase further, the Lords of the South have called upon the Southern Army, requesting aid in bolstering their garrisons. Word is even spreading that that some lords are beginning to contemplate hiring mercenary companies to venture into the elven lands and take the fighting to the Elves in hopes it may release some of the pressure upon their garrisons. To do so however would mean abandoning a centuries old tradition of self reliance.   In the north things may not be much better as reports are slowly beginning to trickle in from the mountain castles that there are orcs amassing in the wilderness beyond the base of the mountains. To make matters worse villages have been reporting increasing raids and banditry. Though none have mentioned any giant green or grey skinned beasts it can be hardly coincidental.   But to you none of this is a concern, rather it is an opportunity, for you have just began your journey towards being an adventurer. Whether you find yourself traveling north, south, east or west it seems you will struggle not to find work given you have the guts for it.
