Pulporma

"Be careful. They may be gentle, but to them hugging means crushing."
An adventurer of Rossan Valid warning about a Pulporma.
A normally peaceful land cephalopod inhabiting the swampy parts of eastern Carsil. A very large creature, its boneless limbs and body allows it to meld into the environment and perform absurd physical feats. With the eight muscled tentacles supporting its weight, it can both grab and pull itself high into the labyranthine maze of trees of Carsil. Despite eating mostly innanimate lychens or fruits, it is omnvorous and can very well eat large insects and even the large beasts it can latch on to to then crush into paste.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Pulpormas' sizes vary greatly, but they are very tall individuals in general. They present a large head, roughly three meters high, resting atop eight extremely long and thick tentacles. The skin that covers their head is hard and leathery giving it resistance to most trauma. It is hard to determine where their eyes are though it is safe to assume they lie somewhere on the sides beneath the hide. It posesses eight long and boneless limbs of roughly similar shapes, each presenting a falt and thick extremity covered in hide to allow them to grapple onto any surface without suffering damage. These tentacles do not have as many suction cups as their watery cousins, but the raw strength and magical power they display more than make up for the lack of sucking power.   Thanks to its very malleable body structure, the Pulporma can fit into many crevices or blend against the environment. Some Pulporma were observed to extend their hide and skin to appear even larger when threatened. Despite its weight, the sheer density of its muscles and the mana that flows through its body allows it to maintain a decent shape at a very large size.

Ecology and Habitats

While they have no trouble functionning on the surface, Pulpormas stay near bodies of water and avoid dry lands, prefering the humid conditions of swamps and tropical forests. It uses its tentacles to swing around tall trees so the inner circles of a forest are its prefered hunting ground.
