A hellion tamer of great renown. Mareen has long been in contact with rare monsters and animals and has shown a gift in manipulating the mana that irradiates them, making them docile and of use to the Demon Legion or the Subjugation Guilds of the Empire, the latter of which she is a high-ranking member First Tamer. Apologetic and discreet, no Demon would imagine that her refined manners and shy personnaity hides determination that may shake the earth.

Personal history

While spawned by Governor Eska Beleth, she didn't inherit the Eska name despite being his legitimate daughter.
She fell in love with Leon, a dashing if somewhat unconcerned Armuth of the Legion. The two of them accompanied each other despite not being effiliated to the same groups. Leon occasionnaly sneaking out of his camp to relax with his beloved, and Mareen making excuses to her superiory to join Leon on the battlefield.
Catching the attention of powerful people, the two of them, despite being clanless and needy, were selected to participate in the Great Batch Project. The long process saw the two of them gradualy spending time apart, until war forced their separation three days before the appointed birthing.

History

Met each other during a monster incursion to the north of Mako Marith. Both of them were young and in training with their respective organisatons, but found the time to love themselves.
They had known each other for five years before the Great Batch project leaders contacted them, and they spent five more years jungling between the preparations for the project and their obligation towards their work.

Their upbringings were polar opposites. Leon grew up alone in the harsh environnement of Mako Marith's life-school and battle-school. Meanwhile, Mareen was bred in a softer environnement, to the eastern part of the Empire, and with parents that remained at her side after her birth within a batch. They met each other in a time of stryfe against monsters invading from the Fana forest. The clash of their personnalities, combined with attraction to their appearances and the battling environment led to their getting closer.
