Dogs of War

Dogs of War is a popular multimedia franchise in the 23rd and 24th Centuries. Dogs of War is available on a variety of formats including film, series, book, interactive film, and game. The original series first aired in 2283 and ran for four seasons with various multimedia spin offs. In 2303, the Dogs of War franchise was revived and has been producing various content ever since.
Dogs of War follows the exploits of the titular team of mercenaries that participate in conflicts on Earth and throughout the solar system. Their enemies are usually terrorists, rogue government forces, or corrupt mercenary groups (including renegade Dogs of War). Dogs of War generally falls within the action genre, although some plot lines in later seasons lean heavily on political intrigue and betrayals more in line with the Suspense Thriller genre.
Dogs of War has an ensemble cast that frequently sees changes due to the long lifespan of the franchise. Many characters are written off through death or serious injury in battle, lending to an "anyone can die" atmosphere. Most of the Original Series cast did not return for the revival, but the few that did made frequent appearances as senior members of the Dogs of War leadership team.
