Oosil

Oosil, a rocky grassland planet sprawling with life. 82% of inland areas have been terraformed and built upon by the intelligent beings known as the Doret. The Doret aim to aid the ever rising population issues by domesticating and industrialising all land above sea level. With only minor islands left to industrialise, many Doret have turned their sights to the looming planet, Baura. A planet close enough that a good eye can see the golden tides.   The Doret are two-legged creatures that have developed great agility and intelligence over millennia. The large, dangerous predators on land are repelled by the sand-like, sweet-scented powder secreted from the Dorets grey skin, allowing them to avoid major conflict and control other creatures to work in their favour. The soft powder attaches to the skin of the Doret after excretion and they must be on the move often in order to shake the substance and keep their skin moisturized and aerated. In doing so, plants are affected making them grow larger and quicker than those not powdered by the Doret. These large plants are cultivated in order to obtain materials used to build the Dorecian structures found across the globe later in the Oosil timeline.   Fammel are a key resource of the Doret as they produce heated metal rods that can be repurposed to build tools and structures. Due to fammels rapid growth speed they have covered 85% of the underwater landmass on Oosil, including caves and abyss'. Fammel do not grow near shores as this is how the Doret obtained the heated metal in their first encounters. They have, however, unintentionally benefitted the Doret later on in underwater exploration allowing them visibility in the deepest depths, revealing the other creatures that survive below.
