Human, Non-Controlled Variant

Non-controlled variant humans, unlike their self-controlled cousins, are those endowed with supernatural qualities that cannot be controlled, learned, or mastered. They are often referred to as NCs, "Encies," Knuckles, or NutCases. Rather than an Essie with the power to teleport anywhere they wish, an NC may have the power of teleporting randomly whenever they sneeze. Every NC's powers are unique and thus far no one has discovered any link between an individual's DNA and their abilities, if any. NCs compose about 2% of the human population of the Omoia Alliance.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Some NCs are physically indistinguishable from regular humans, while other posses extra limbs, altered skeletal structures, scales, gills, etc. New morphologies are constantly being discovered.

Biological Traits

Every NC possesses at least one unique trait that distinguishes them from a normal human. These traits manifest as a limitless myriad of superhuman powers. The one unifying factor that defines an NC is that they are incapable of controlling said power.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Most NCs have average human senses, but others have powers that directly amplify or alter any/all of their sensory capabilities, although in uncontrolled ways. Some NCs with "advanced mind" powers have telepathic or empathic capabilities that cannot be actively controlled.

Most NCs are seen as lesser beings by both regular humans and Essies. They face frequent discrimination and are often referred to derogatorily as NutCases.
