Demetians

The Demetians are a name given to group of Hyperboreans that worship the Greek Goddess Demeter. The Demetians are known for the metaphorical 'green thumb' they exhibit, tending to the farms and creating delicious food for those within The Northern World to eat. On occasion, they will work with outsiders to bring the crops they grow to Germany and other european countries. One export that they are most well known for are the Cornucopia, a mystical and large horn-shaped container that holds a large amount of produce and nuts.   Due to the Edenite mixed in with their flesh, the Mana flowing through their bodies gives them an affinity for nature, allowing them to more-or-less "speak" with the crops, allowing them to better care for them. In a more practical sense, they're able to tell whether or not a crop is healthy; needs more or less water; is ready to be picked, and the like.

Naming Traditions

Unisex names

Names for those who worship Demeter follow a similar naming convention to that of common greek names, with the addenum 'Of Demeter', alongside the german last name that they have. Ex: Leonidas Müller Of Demeter, Anura Schäfer Of Demeter, etc

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

Along with the typical germanic language and dialect; such as Palatine German (Pfaelzisch–Lothringisch) and Luxembourgish; Demetians-- as with many other groups within The Northern World, can speak Modern Greek. There are a small percentage of members within the Demetians group that can speak Alpha Tongue.

Shared customary codes and values

The followers of Demeter believe in the goodwill of others and the beauty of the harvest that they cultivate, spending years learning how to farm and care for the crop and livestock they tend to. This goodwill is represented with the Cornucopia, filled to the brim with the produce that those within The Northern World have obtained.

These sound like an interesting group of people. I love that they follow Demeter - she's one of my favourite of the ancient Greek pantheon. :D
