The Great Inventor Hallam Giuseppe Copolla (a.k.a. Hal)
Hallam is a scrawny high elf with thick glasses. He speaks rarely, but don't mistake his silence for stupidity. Hallam's mind and affinity for robotics is his strongest trait. Little is known about Hallam. He attended
The Maelstrom College of Magic years ago and achieved numerous accolades for his incredible work, but left under unknown circumstances.
Weakness: He has dedicated so much of his life to his research he's ended up in a rabbit hole of obsession.
Needs: He must come to the realization that even a flawed planet such as this can be beautiful.
Desire: He wishes to replace the world with machines and constructs in the image of his god primus.
Likes: He likes to tinker, he loves listening to the orchestra so much in fact he built constructs with the purpose of playing his favorite pieces, they're some of his favorite creations.
Dislikes: He dislikes most organic lifeforms with the exception of his friend Atreus. He sees them as inferior and an obstacle in the way of his goals.
Enemy: The Maelstrom College of Magic put him out of commission as they were not accepting of his practices and for that Hallam holds a grudge.
Mental characteristics
Hallam Giuseppe Coppola was born in the Varkinstone republic to Olivia Copolla and his father Nathaniel. Nathaniel a powerful name in Varkinstone but no one knew of his inner infatuation with "creation". he was an abusive father and his mother was emotionally distant and usually would agree with Nathaniel on most things to avoid injury. Like his son, Nathaniel was also an inventor though nowhere near the proficiency of his son. He would do horrid things. He would experiment on living tissue. He would create automatons and graft on flesh, he used to threaten Hallam by telling him he'd remove his eyes to use for one of his creations. Hallam would watch in horror, but once that subsided he realized his father's issue, he relied too heavily on living things to power his constructs. It was then Hallam started inventing of his own using only metal parts if possible. When Hallam was nine he would create his first gun which he used to shoot his father. His mother discarded her son for this and Hallam was forced out on to the streets. Hallam would spend years in the gutters until he found charity from a woman named Lyra, a churchgoer with a love for helping the needy. She told him to find divine worship and whatever he god chose, should it be good would return light to his life. The night of hearing this advice Hallam dreamt of a world of clockwork, everything in order, nothing running out of line, it was glorious. And at the head, Primus. This visage of Primus spoke to Hallam, he said "young child, the true enemy of the world, is chaos. Order must be achieved, correct the world. Yours too can be clockwork." When Hallam arose he had a new goal, create order through his machines. He started creating machines any way he knew how. But his knowledge was limited. He needed to pursue an education. Hallam pestered many schools but all rejected him except for one. "The Maelstrom College of Magic." This was a suprise.
