Sweets N Smiles

Good morning! What can I get you today? Our brownies are fresh and we've got three new boba flavors this week.
— Sunny
Manned by an energetic halfling woman, this food truck traverses the streets of Shimmerwick each morning and afternoon. It offers a rotating stock of fresh made sweets and drinks. It's popular with folks of all ages and is a common sight among other food trucks at events and festivals.

Appearance

This is a standard sized food truck that is rectangular with a large open side window to act as the serving area. It has a pastel yellow paint job with light pink accents and lettering. A smiley face decal covers the back. A boba cup is on the left of the face while a slice of cake is on its right.   The inside of the truck is outfitted with a large cooler and fridge. It has an ice machine, a couple blenders, and a coffee maker. There is a sink and enough counter space for prepping the food and drink. The truck doesn't have any appliances to cook or maintain hot foods.

Staff

Sweets N Smiles is owned and operated by Sunny Bell. She employs several bakers to help prep food and run the truck. Most don't stay for long, but not because it's a bad workplace.   Sunny enjoys giving a variety of people a chance to gain experience and or to get back on their feet after a hard gap in employment. Her employees range from students and fresh graduates to ex felons or other folk struggling to find jobs elsewhere.

Menu

Early each morning Sunny's staff prepare the day's goods. They serve different baked desserts, sweets, ice cream, and both hot and cold drinks. Sunny rotates the menu and flavor options based on the season and availability of supplies.   They are best known for their bubble tea, also known as boba. Customers can either select a themed drink or build their own from what is available that day. There are a couple tea bases, the option for milk, and different additions.

Good afternoon foodie friends! I'm back in the glittering city itself checking out the food trucks available at the Harvest Festival. Today I enjoyed an amazing boba from Sweets N Smiles. It was served by a very sweet halfling woman.   I couldn't choose from all the scrumptious sounding flavors, so I asked Sunny for a recommendation. She handed me a pumpkin chai with a cinnamon swirl and salted caramel jelly cubes. It's been the best fall drink I've had this year!   I paired the tea with a couple sugar cookies to go. They were shaped and decorated like sunflowers with copper colored edible glitter coating the seed area.

Thank you! It may or may not have been some sort of unintentional response to my own situation, secretly wishing for such an employer hehe.

Thank you! Def the vibe I was going for as that's all Sunny wants to do: feed people nice goodies and brighten their day.

I liked your decision to include the snippet review by a food blogger. An assurance the narrator is reliable and the brownies/cookies are fresh.

A fantasy food truck! I feel like a world that has this much thought into what people eat, especially things like desserts and treats that aren't eaten regularly, is well fleshed-out. I love the idea of a bubbly halfling running a pastry/dessert food truck.
