Omari's Moon

Omari's singular moon. It is large and gives off plenty of moonlight during the night. It is associated with Uxali, the "creator god"; he is a space phoenix who initially helped out the Oizai in return after they healed him from a crash landing. They still don't know much about him and always assumed he came from the moon or even got his powers from it. They've worshiped the moon and its magical essence ever since. Thus, they refer to it as Uxali's heart in the partial belief that it is somehow a part of him. There is a lunar research institute on Omari that is currently studying the moon and attempting to figure out space travel.

Geography

A large moon that appears perfectly round. Craters can be observed on its surface in no particular pattern. There is a faint purple hue to it, although it does not affect the color of the moonlight. Once strong enough telescopes were created, astronomers discovered a mountain like ridge that circles the entire moon. Not much else is currently known about this celestial body other than it seems to give off magical energies.

Fauna & Flora

No signs of life have yet to be spotted on the surface. Astronomers occasionally note what appears to be moss or fungus on some of the rock surfaces, but can't tell for certain until samples can be collected.

Natural Resources

A very rare material called lunar crystals can be obtained from the moon. There is currently only one known instance of these being used on Omari, within a staff Uxali made. As no one has yet to go to the moon or travel in space, these crystals have not been mined or found uses for.

History

The moon has been spotted in the night sky over Omari for as long as there has been sentient life; it is believed to have been around since the beginning of the planet. Only in the past century have scientists began studying and observing it in depth in hopes of visiting some day.
