Pota Leighis Iomlán

(Irish) Pot of Whole Healing or Full Healing Pot

Northwest of Litenåsby are three tiny huts and a small stone well
It's centered in a garden of plants the owner would never sell

In the middle of the night, only the finest ears hear
The drip, drop, drip of an old woman's tears

A secret to all even its creator
At the well's depth is the pot of a saviour

For those who are bathed with its healing water
Are fully restored whatever their bother

Item Description & Effect

Pota Leighis Iomlán is a unique artifact that contains all of Airmid's tears and thereby legendary healing power. Notwithstanding death from old age or decapitation or destruction of some/all of the brain, a creature bathed with the pot's contents is fully healed from any injury, poison, disease, or curse affecting it. Missing or damaged organs are replaced with normal, healthy equivalents. If the creature is currently dead (and once lived but isn't "undead"), it is brought back to life.   The pot currently resides at the bottom of the well at Botháin Cneasaí where Airmid Cneasaí cries each night over her brother's death. Nobody (including Airmid) knows the pot exists.   Pota Leighis Iomlán is a simple, unadorned fired clay pot with a matching lid that has a small knob for a handle in its center. The knob has a small (~3 mm diameter) hole that supernaturally collects Airmid's tears regardless of their relative physical location. Other liquids cannot pass through the hole in the knob. The lid and pot cannot be separated unless the waters within are to be used in accordance with the item's purpose. The water is salinated and the pot cannot be broken through non-magical means. If the water is used in any manner other than intended it has no effect but is consumed until the following morning (i.e. it does not quench thirst or hydrate a creature if consumed, it does not cook food, it does not sustain marine life, it does not put out fires, etc.).

Pota Leighis Iomlán

This simple pot is full of healing waters that automatically regenerate the morning one week after they have been used.   If you spend one hour gently bathing the body of a creature that is alive or has not been dead for no longer than 200 years, is restored to life with all its hit points. This ritual closes all wounds, neutralizes any poison, cures all diseases, and lifts any curses affecting the creature when it died. Additionally, any damaged or missing organs and limbs are replaced.   The pot does not have any effect on creature types that are neither truly living or dead (e.g. Constructs or Undead), or creatures that died of old age, lacks a centralized organ that functions as its "brain", has had its brain partially removed or destroyed, or has had its brain and body seperated.   Each time the pot is used in this manner, roll a d20. On a 1, the pot shatters in a sorrowful cry. All creatures within 60 ft of the pot when it shatters in this way must succeed on a DC18 Constitution Saving Throw. Failure on the save causes a creature to fall prone, become stunned until the end of their next turn, and become unable to hear for one hour (after which their hearing returns to normal).

Author's Notes

This artifact is based on Slainge's Well presided over Dian_Cecht, his two sons (Octruil and Miach), and his daughter (Airmed). I personally like "Mythology at Heapstown" for further reading on this mythos. The 5e content is losely based on the 9th level spell True Resurrection and the magic item Rod of Resurrection.
