Erklæring om Rimelig Fordel

(Norwegian) Declaration of Reasonable Advantage

Purpose

To "invite" (threaten) the leaders of Menestad into joining the trade alliance with Dverghjem, Helsoynes, and Hogeve as managed by the Barnema Trade Company.   Upon agreeing to the terms of the Avhandlingen av Tre , the Slaveresmåtei would formally be merged with the gates of Menestad. They would be formally tied into the overland trade route that twins the Tjenerenssjøvei, and spared mass enslavement and slaughter (the alternative to declining terms).

Historical Details

Background

Not long after the formation of the Barnema Trade Company by the leaders of Dverghjem, Helsoynes, and Hogeve, all naval imports and exports between the three city-states were coordinated by one company and one vision. With the resources being redistributed and fairly priced, exports boomed primarily to Fellistad but also Hrafting and Menestad.   Since Hrafting was the only major settlement west of the trade alliance, additional interest in expanding overland trade with formalized, maintained, and protected routes were quickly added to the company's mandate. Fueled by a blessed economy and mass enslavement, the burgeoning Slaveresmåtei was quickly directed east toward Menestad.   As the roadway approached ever closer to Menestad, the allied armies of Dverghjem, Helsoynes, and Hogeve set out on a great march in a show of force against the weaker of their two export destinations.

Legacy

The leaders of Menestad buckled under the pressure almost immediately, caught unawares by such an act of aggression from city-states they traded with en-masse. Despite being their own power, Menestad was not asked (nor required to) contribute to Troskapets Juveler.
