Third Säsäsi Civil War

The Third Säsäsi Civil War, also called the Säsäsi War of Peoples' Self-Determination, was a 7-year-long armed conflict that erupted between the former Technocratic Worker's Union of Säsäsi and its multivarious adversaries, culminating in the decisive victory of the Federation-backed Zone of Peoples' Self-Government and the regional hegemony of the ZPSG's program of anarchist communism. This effectively transferred a large fraction of the Mandate's industrial core to the communist economic sphere and played a crucial role in halting the advance of Mandate forces into Federation airspace.
The Conflict
Prelude
Long-standing dissatisfaction with economic conditions in the Säsäsi Large Comoving Association, exacerbated by the Open Doors series of economic reforms enacted by the TDUS in the 5160s, prompted the rise of a new wave of interstellar-level populist organizations. Among them, the New Patriots, the Banjiists, and the Peoples' Anarchist Association achieved lasting prominence. In 5210, a new wave of strikes and revolts was met with attempts at brutal repression, which sparked open war with the emerging popular forces.

Implementation of ZPSG policies of anarchist communism in the Säsäsi Large Comoving Association, stark diminishing of trade with Mandate member polities, integration into the communist economic sphere headed by the Federation.
