The Arcane University of Hun

The University of Hun is a school and research institute for Wizards. Focusing on the study and improvement of the magical arcane arts. The university is one of the most prominent Arcane Universities outside of Dimpeak and has existed in the region since before the founding of Mortimear. Though in a smaller capacity and was not moved inside the walls of the Mortimear until 40 years after the city was built. But now it is synonymous with the city itself.
Several great wizards and mages of history, including two Emperor of the Hecutus Empire, have come from the great University of Hun and their current Archmage is rumored to be able to cast spells of the 10th level.

Structure

Archmage

The title granted to the head mage and researcher of the university. Must have served in the council of Hun as a Grand Mage for at least a decade and is in charge of the faculty of the university. The Archmage is not required to have an apprentice but out of tradition usually takes one on anyway.

Grand Mage

This title is granted to the 8 most prestigious mages and researchers of the university and all of them are second in line to become the next arch-mage. They are the only ones in the faculty exempt from teaching classes but are still required to have an apprentice.

Mage

Does Mainly research but usually has an apprentice or scholar to support there work. They will also teach specialized topics and classes related to there research field but there are mostly held for Scholars and Apprentices.

Grand Wizard

Teaches Adepts primarily.

Wizard

Teaches Neophytes primarily.

Scholar

Scholars are fully trained students but are in the process of proving themselves to the faculty to join them as a wizard, they are no longer anyone's full-time apprentice and have been allocated to certain classes and research depending on the nature of there specialization and final paper. A scholar typically spends 1-3 years crafting their final thesis for the University before they submit it and await approval, upon approval they graduate and are give an offer to join the faculty of the University. A scholar can usually cast 3rd level spells or higher.

Wizards Apprentice

Wizards Apprentice are still students that have received a mentor that is a Wizard or higher of the Hun University, the Wizard apprentice is expected to help there mentor with managing and teaching classes but also doing research. Most of the studies an Apprentice does is that of self-studies.

Adept

Adept students now how to cast rudimentary spells and make up the bulk of the University student body. A student can spend years being an Adept and won't progress out of being an Adept until they receive a mentor and become an official Apprentice of a Wizard. Adepts can cast cantrips and some even proper spells.

Neophyte

A newly joined student that have passed the entrance test and is still learning how to control magic and cast spells, a Neophyte typically spends around four years before becoming an Adept. Most Neophytes takes the entrance exam around 10 years of age, with the vast majority of them coming from wealthy families. Some are Soldiers or Generals in the Rose Army that have been found to have magical potential, they spend significantly less time here and rarely become an Adept due to obligations outside of the university.

Magus

Any former student or professor of the Academy that has left them to pursue other ventures outside of the University's interests. This is as much a slur as it is a way for former faculties or students to show that they have been officially schooled in the Arcane arts while showing that their allegiance is not with the school anymore.
