Duerok charged at the strange beast, it was taller than he was but was reedy and had an ungainly gait. Duerok slipped under its swing and he grabbed it over one shoulder and under an arm. He slammed the creature's head into the ground and pinned the body down, he drew his short sword, as long as some buildings are tall, and drove the blade through the creature's back. The creature shrieked and stilled.

A cloud giant founded The Knights of Steel to aid in a personal quest. Duerok sought to protect a group of his descendants. This group had mingled with the humans who had moved into the lands near his home. For a long time, he fought alone to defend those that he cared for. Eventually, he reached a point where he knew he could not continue alone. He offered any who would aid him the tools to fight.
