Summer Camp 2021 Worldbuilding Pledge

Last year I joined World Ember, and really enjoyed it! It motivated me to write, and I discovered much of my world. However, I haven't been writing nor worldbuilding for the past months. Mainly due to many life changes, but also because my inspiration was completely gone. A few weeks ago I carefully started to worldbuild again. At the moment I have several notes lying about, which need to be thought out in more detail, and I realized Summer Camp might be the right time to do this.
In addition to writing the daily prompts, I want to go through all my articles and edit them based on the notes I have made in the past weeks. This I will do as preparation.

Which project are your worldbuilding efforts tied to?

I write as a hobby, not to publish. The reason I write is to express emotions, to process them in a healthy way. Additionally, I enjoy knowledge. That is why I love worldbuilding. Half my time I do research into history, cultures and nature. To tie this all together, I would like to start improving my writing skills by writing short stories in my world, ranging between five and a hundred pages, depending on the story I want to tell.

What world are you working on?

I will be working on my world Odezia , a world that slowly started to take shape inside my head, to cope with certain emotions. I would like to get more familiar with it and make it my safe space.

Which area of the world(s) are you working on?

The main focus will be the Empire of Garyiala. This country has the most backbone at the moment, and I would like to build on that. However, if I think a prompt is more suitable for a different place, I will deviate from this plan, and write whatever I want to.

How much are you aiming to complete?

My goal is to write at least 20 prompts, I like silver better than gold anyways. Maybe, once I get in the flow, I will be able to do all 31 of them. But maybe some of them won't give me any inspiration, thus 20 feels like a safe number.
When I will write all depends on if I still have a job next month. If I do, I will write in the morning or in the evening, depending on my working hours. If I don't, I will write in the morning, because I will need a reason to get out of bed each day.

Who is your support network?

I have one friend with whom I share my stories. I talk to her every day, so I will bounce ideas off of her if she wants to or not.
