Queen Sarana Halsnar I
Born to a family of scholars in the northern tribesland of Durnas, Sarana learned to best the cold climate with magical prowess and a sharp mind.
During her studies in Agad she was introduced to the young Prince Elisos, who recognized in her a figure of authority and just leadership. While both parties had mutual sympathy, the nature of the marriage between the tribal heiress and the prince remained one of politics.
Over the course of her reign she took over the role of arcane advisor to the kingdom, negotiating with the council of Ponthas despite the tense relationships with the city. She pushed for the establishment of Ponthean regulations in the kingdom of Durnas.
After raising her two sons she decided to divorce Elisos and follow her own path in the world, feeling out of place in the palace and stifled by the responsibilities of her position. Due to her life's work and choices Sarana is an idol for many women of Agad, who laud her for staying true to Mugon's resolve. Sarana planned to travel to Ponthas to stay incognito, but her current situation is unknown.
