Tite Gyras of Zogir
Who is the most famous living artist in your world?
Tite Gyras, born Titena Yult Gyras in the city of Zogir. Tite spent much of their childhood learning how to sculpt in one of Zogir's many schools of the arts. With pressure from his parents to succeed and the best education that he could possibly receive, it surprised everyone when the school found his art "unsatisfactory". No older than sixteen, Tite ran from her home and went to the Central Kingdoms, where her art proved to be far superior to that of anybody around her. Her sculptures and paintings were detailed, realistic, with a strong since of emotion and excellent color coordination.
Tite's work in the Central Kingdoms has been so astonishingly beautiful that she has been hired by all three reigning monarchs there to create statues and portraits. Tite's work is often displayed publicly as a show of the might and prestige a city has. Her greatest work, the Statue of Victory, made of solid bronze, depicting several Human soldiers, Hunched over the skeleton of a dead man, weeping at the scene. This statue defied expectations, acting as a memorial for those who lost their lives to create the central kingdoms, and showing how difficult the battle was for those who endured it.
Even into her old age, Tite continues to create art, though the shakiness of her hands means that the art takes much longer, and her newer art is seen as lower quality than her older creations. Though, ultimately, her work is still considered valuable, most anybody willing to spend money on art prefers to buy her older work over her newer projects.
By bringing her art to the Central Kingdoms, she has inspired a generation of artists to follow in her wake, spawning a wave of art and culture in the Central Kingdoms not seen at any point before.
