Defuse
Defuse is a bluegreen mold found in the Dark Beneath. It has been cultivated and sold by the Drow Elves for many treatments. The mold has a cleansing property which can rid almost any species of plant of a parasitic taint or illness to which it may have been subjected. It has been used to free plants of blight, mites, fungi, aphids, worms, and other diseases and pests. The Drow Elves have sold the mold to gardeners, rangers, plant healers, farmers, and others wishing to heal plants. Since the mold cannot sustain itself in light for very long, it remains a lucrative product for the Drow. The mold it not widely known and is usually obtained by traveling to the Dark Beneath. This alone makes it a prized substance in Octiragrin.

The mold reproduces quickly with each cell division and replication taking place in seconds. It can go into a dormant state after it feeds. This allows the it to absorb the nutrients from the food and prepare for more reproduction.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
Mostly found in dark places, but can live in light at an excellerated rate. If left in light for extended periods of time, the mold will die since its cells die faster than it can reproduce. It only enters its dormant state when in the dark.
