Holbein

In life Holbein was an artist who was singularly fascinated with concept of inevitability. He produced propaganda at an astonishing rate as a man with the aim of convincing the people that their tyrant's rule was impossible to avert. Despite this he was unable to help himself from inserting allusions to the tyrant's own eventual inevitable death. Once the tyrant was made aware of these subversive themes he ordered the artist put to death. He was spared this fate by a revolt which toppled the tyrant and freed all of his prisoners. Quickly thereafter however he was identified as the a propagandist and executed by a peasant's court. He accepted this judgment without complaint. For this life of acceptance Holbein was made god of death.

Tenets of Faith

Remember you will die. It is inevitable, so there is no need to panic or be preoccupied with your death. Instead live life to its fullest and cherish those things you hold dear. Never pass up an opportunity to express your love and always deal fairly with others lest your ledger be found dirty at judgement. All suffering and hardship is transitory, so do not try to hold it still. Retribution should be left to the gods.
