Dynasty founded by the first emperor of Daqin, and his godly children. Rulers of this dynasty were all heavenly immortal beings.
According to traditional histories it was in this year that the Orichalcum Emperor founded the first dynasty of Daqin.
The founder of the Zhen empire was the son of Hammurabi, known as the Jade Emperor in Daqin traditions. He smashed mountains flat with his great flail and carved the coastlines with his bare hands. He commanded that the beasts of the land and air obey humans of stern spirit, thus inventing domestication. He ruled until he found one worthy to succeed him and ascended to heaven thereafter.
A giant birthed from jungle soil the Primordial Root Emperor had great knowledge of all plants and natural processes. He invented agriculture and taught it to his people. He had four heads, one that spoke while the other three vomited the three essential products of human farm-work: rice, wheat, and honey.
A ruler possessing the traits of both godliness and spiderness, the Indigo Emperor was a masterful scholar. He created both written language and wizardry. He also authored the Book of Prayers which is still used by Daqin priests to this day. He shared these innovations with Ynn and for this was declared Mayor of Mayors.
The dragon emperor was a master of internal alchemy, herbology, and meditation. He gave his people the secrets of all three of these arts, though internal alchemy has been lost to the ages. He was the first doctor and through his alchemy was able to take on the shape of a dragon. He married the Star Queen of Rattan, joining the two nations in union until the Time of Grinding Teeth.
The reign of the Sky Iron Emperor was blessed with good luck and abundance. He was the son of the Dragon Emperor thus originating the concept of inheritance. He was so favored by the heavens that they blessed him with a shower of comets every night as he slept. He was generous and often ordered the stars to change their movements to offer more beneficial futures for his subjects.
Despite being the eldest daughter of the Sky Iron Emperor, the Black Toad Empress was capable of fathering children on men, women, and beasts with equal ease. Her children were mighty and possessed many godly gifts beyond those of humanity.
With the death of the Black Toad Empress, the whole of Daqin was thrown into chaos and her children ran amok. They devoured men like beasts and destroyed much of the nation.
For reasons that remain unclear even to this day the Black Toad Empress's children turned on her and devoured their mother, plunging the nation into an era of darkness.
Born from the chaos of the Black Toad Empress's death and subsequent societal collapse. The Yin were a dynasty defined by martial might and strict laws.
The first ancestor of house Yin slew the Facestealer, Sky Swallowing Spider, and Many-Eyed Eel over the course of a single battle. This first major victory of against the Black Toad's children set in motion their complete extermination, and marks the end of the Time of Grinding Teeth. He was crowned first Emperor of Yin.
The Yin Dynasty was founded by a near mute man primarily notable for his skill in killing the Black Toad's Children. His reign had few laws with the state serving only as a means to produce weapons and soldiers.
During the Time of Grinding Teeth the people of Ynn had been overwhelmed and the beings of its forest spilled out of its borders. The Cold Iron Emperor drove them back to their cloud forest and re-established the Emperor of Daqin as the Mayor of Mayors in Ynn. He founded the order of Jade Hunters to continue his and his uncle's monster slaying tradition.
This reign saw an emperor of hideous cruelty. He was only able to stomach food while in the presence of dying men, and responded to even the most minor inconvenience with execution and mutilation. His advisors tempered this by keeping him on constant campaign, exterminating tribes on the Scalp Steppe.
Following the Horseflesh Emperor's death there were nationwide peasant rebellions and invasions by Steppe tribe seeking vengeance for their slain kin. The emperor taxed his people into poverty to raise an army capable of putting down the rebellions and repelling invasion. Though successful this left the Empire in a precarious position.
Inheriting a nation all but spent was a sickly man of bloated bowels and a grotesque yellow pallor. He issued proclamations from his bed, being unable to stand. His reforms pulled many noble families from the brink of collapse, but they were cut short when the Emperor was found dead a wood quill lodged in his throat.
The final Yin emperor was less a man than an ape given crown and robes. He consumed human flesh, forced loyal retainers to duel to the death without cause, and sent generals to die in doomed wars against Stygia so that he might steal their widows. His reign was ended by beheading in the Feng Rebellion.
The general Feng Wu led a coalition of aggrieved nobles and peasant battalions to depose the Dripping Corpulence Emperor, and establish the Feng Dynasty.
The present dynasty, founded in rebellion against the despotic final Emperor of Yin. It is characterized by a light imperial hand, prosperity of art and culture, but also a general decline into decadence.
Following his ascension to the throne the first emperor of Feng spent his reign dividing the realm across the various families who aided in his rebellion. He had a reputation as a generous and fair, but sometimes overly indulgent ruler. He lived to the age of 87.
The Cracked Earth Emperor waged a campaign of genocide against the wild men, until his assassination at the hands of his own bodyguards.
