Demographics

A mostly Solesan planet, the world is mostly populated by middle class working families who work for Orion Arms. A small Commoner minority is looked down upon, and are usually given the hardest and most undesirable jobs. Large portions of the planet are wealthy, as small islands have become popular tourist locations for their natural beauty and exotic animals.

Government

Controlled by the Sol Republic, it has been previously contested by the Noctran Kingdom.

Defences

Orbital and planetary guns shoot down enemy ships, and a standing garrison of 70 million men defend the planet. Many forts and bunkers defend the capital of New Amsterdam, as well as shield generators.

Industry & Trade

Dawn boasts massive factories that produce railguns, fighter aircraft, and small assault ships. They import large amounts of refined alloys for production. Most of the population works as administrators for Orion Arms, as it is headquartered here.

Infrastructure

Massive Automated factories line the rocky interior of Dawns only continent, Large Suburban sprawls house the majority of the population, with high-speed rail and large highways connecting various cities. Many underwater railways connect various tourist destinations to the mainland, and suborbital launch stations dot the outskirts of the capital. A massive spaceport located in the south connects to a large space elevator that ferries supplies from larger orbiting ships to the surface. Large biodomes under the water provide locally sourced food, and many settlements are located in domes under the sea. Shield generators protect the capital and other large cities from bombardment, and several dozen emergency shelters house supplies to withstand a siege.

Assets

Thousands of factories that pump out weapons and ships dot the surface, and hoards of metals are mined and kept in the north. Food is farmed underwater to provide for the growing population, and stores are kept in case of a siege. A central bank keeps billions of credits safe in its vaults, as well as other valuables.

Guilds and Factions

Lukurum mining controls the mines to the north, and the Orion Arms Company owns the factories and cities that constitute most of the planet. The Small minority of Commoners is essentially left to its own devices at settlements in the western mountainous region. They are rumored to have asked the Anarchists for liberation, so the planetary garrison was increased and security tightened.

History

The First colonists established the capital, and construction began immediately on the large cities on the coast. Orion Arms soon built its factories, and the Sol Republic heavily fortified the world as it is a crucial chokepoint into the mid rim. Soon after founding, exploration initiatives discovered sprawling ruins on a large island to the west of the planet's only continent. The Sol Republic quarantined the island, and civilian travel is still forbidden. This was the first evidence of intelligent life beyond humanity, and archeologists still investigate the mysterious ruins.

Architecture

The Buildings are mostly predesigned from templates, which are mostly built for families of five and less, mostly two stories with four bedrooms. The templates are built with more modern architectural designs, with faded gray and white coloring and only one offset main entrance with a garage that can fit two cars. More opulent families prefer to have their houses constructed by hand, with various architectural styles.

Geography

The planet is constituted by one large continent, with mountains lining the interior, and rainforests covering much of the north, and the south and west are large open savannas popular among tourists from other planets. The vast stormy seas are covering for many underwater labs, many of which are used for the development of secret weapons, such as new ship designs and infantry weapons. A small splinter of the world's only continent lies to the west, teeming with exotic life and sprawling ruins built by an unknown civilization. The island is closed to the public.

Natural Resources

Minerals are abundant, and large fuel reserves are also present in the north. Vast rainforests provide tourism for the colony , and the savannas are home to large docile beasts that are considered a delicacy around the galaxy. Many resorts line the coast and exterior islands which provide accommodations for tourists.
