The Reach
The tallest of the Great Mountains, with an altitude of 3050 meters, The Reach can be the most difficult mountain to ascend because of the thin air. However, The Reach is home to the Juspian capital city The Pinnacle, and so methods have been established to help one acclimatize to the high altitude.
Despite the altitude, The Reach is host to a population of over 100,000 citizens and is one of the most populated locations on Obrios.
Some say that from the top of The Reach you can see all of Obrios and touch the heavens themselves.
Geography
The northern face of the mountain is very smooth from years of weathering from The Swell before The Great Wall was built. The Reach gets a lot of rain and has a moderate number of rivers, streams, and waterfalls that flow down the mountain. Most of the mountain has been converted for industry by The Pinnacle and so, although there is a wide variety of plant life, most of it has been cultivated and harvested over the years.
Fauna & Flora
The Reach used to be home to plenty of wildlife, including many tribes of Grung. Once the Vucboon settled on The Pinnacle and started expanding down the mountain, the Grung fled and relocated into the Mist Veil and the Cascading Forests to the south. The mountain is now primarily home to a large variety of birds that live in the Strong Bark trees at the lower altitudes.
