The Last Mark

It is said over a thousand years ago, when Galdarian was struck down in what is now know as The Fracture, the final blow against him was so devastating that it shattered Obrios itself, leaving a massive chasm and hole in the world.
The Last Mark stretches all the way across the Parched Lands and is also used partially as a border line to divide Navinstan and Shaira. There have been expeditions into the chasm and it is said that it descends hundreds of feet and is home to many creatures who require the harshest of climates to survive. Because of the constant fluctuating temperatures around the Last Mark, it is very hard to settle on.
The only settlement in The Last Mark is Shades Breach, the most secure prison on Obrios. Shades Breach houses the worst criminals of the world and it is said to be the last place you want to find yourself.

Geography

The Last Mark is a massive chasm that extended for hundreds of miles across the Parched Lands and descends hundreds of feet below Obrios. The temperature in The Last Mark is constantly fluctuating. This is because it is at the exact center of Obrios and is also the location of The Meeting. The two suns both pass over the chasm every hundred days, making it the hottest place on Obrios. However, towards the end of the day, both suns are out of direct view from inside the chasm, making the inside of the Last Mark the coldest and darkest external location in the world.
Much of The Last Mark has not been explored, but the areas that have been explored are said to have ranged from easy to traverse, to nearly impassable and extremely hazardous.

Fauna & Flora

The chasm is home to many unique forms of plant and wildlife specific to The Last Mark. Because the environment is so harsh and the temperature change is so dramatic, it requires a very adaptable form of wildlife to be able to live there.
