Omaru

The Omaru are said to be the spirits of all things on Obrios. These small creatures show up everywhere but most frequently show up in extreme physical conditions or moments of great emotion.   There are two classifications of Omaru. Physical Omaru and Emotional Omaru.   Physical Omaru are attracted to natural phenomena, like Fire-Omaru or Wind-Omaru. Emotional Omaru are attracted to emotions, like Fear-Omaru or Joy-Omaru.   Omaru possess the ability to take shelter and hide inside their natural surroundings, becoming totally impervious to danger. They also have the ability to turn invisible.   Spiritualists believe that the Omaru are spiritual manifestations of all the objects of the world and worship them as tiny gods. Other religions such as The Order of Light, view the Omaru as the children of the sun goddesses. There have been legends of the Omaru blessing travelers on the road and granting them good fortune.

Omaru typically resemble tiny humanoids with spindly limbs and wild hair. Each Omaru wears a mask specific to what that Omaru represents. A Forest-Omaru will have a mask in the shape of a leaf, while a Rain-Omaru's mask will look like raindrop. Some masks however are more abstract, especially the masks of Emotion Omaru. For example, a Glory-Omaru's mask will appear to be made of solid gold. Although Omaru typically stick to one mask, it is not uncommon for Omaru to swap their mask for another.
