Thaiten Empire

"Do not underestimate The Empire Cindrik, Long is the reach. They have eyes and ears everywhere. For a realm to have so little natural resource to be so prosperous is a true feat. Do not play into their facade and see them for what they truly are, a predator playing with its food." - Balastar Bray, King of the United Kingdom of Panthea 4108 of the 2nd Era.     Thaiten Empire: Thaiten is the most magically advanced civilization in Oaken’Ash. Their Ambition and thirst for power know no bounds. As a civilization, they have always looked towards Arkeome the god of knowledge. For not knowing is debased, ugly, ignorant, and vile. They have always been a nation of intellect and pedigree. For thousands of years, this nation started looking at how to make themselves in the image of Arkeome and the other gods. They started magically augmenting and editing themselves to find the perfect form. They were obsessed with the perfect form and so many of them spliced themselves with other humanoids, beasts, and elements to achieve the perfect form. It wasn’t until Thaiten Caste discovered the existence of other planes of existence did the imperial family begin to experiment with dark rituals that allowed them to splice their flesh, bone, and even souls with other planer entities and energies did they start to get closer to the perfect form. The imperial family’s influence began to consume the power of other houses and before long they held dominion over all of Thaiten. They were the first Rakshasa of Oaken’Ash and their rule over Thaiten is absolute.

Religion: There is power in religion and its gods, the people worship and venerate those gods, and Thaiten knows this. To deny the gods and their influence would be foolish. Thaiten sees the gods for what they truly are. Pillars of Power, sources of divine energy and influence in which those who worship or venerate them use and manifest this power. Thaiten respects this power and many of their people study the ebbs, flows, and exchanges of this divine power. They typically don’t have faith, instead, they have calculation. They know they must feed and serve the divine powers in order to utilize their power. The Rakshasa see themselves closest to the form of the gods and so does the rest of the populace of Thaiten. This grants the Rakshasa and their peoples tremendous.

Yuan-ti The Yuan-ti of Thaiten see the Rakshasa much like the gods, they respect their power and try to calculate how best to use it for their betterment. This culture spreads to the rest of their Kin, if one benefits the Yuan-ti they will typically treat them with respect if it leads to what best serves them. Lose value, endanger, or worse detract from their own self-worth and the Yuan-ti will be a fast enemy. Though their ire and vengeance won’t always be prevalent as even a mouse has value as a snack, bait, or diversion. This has led Yuan-ti and Thaiten as a whole to be high functioning and efficient.

Sub Cultures: Diversity can be powerful as it allows for a more comprehensive culture. To understand is to truly know and so Thaiten does not discriminate against the pursuit of knowledge and research so long as it does not come into conflict with the power of one better. If you do not have the power to stand against then you must fall in line.
