If Raven elves are the organized crime, Magpie half-elves are the petty thieves and pickpockets. Even though they often live in contiguous neighborhoods, Magpie activities can hardly be considered equal to the efficient smuggling and crime organizations of their Raven parents. But, take care: Magpies might not be as powerful as Ravens, but rest assured that they never look down anything shiny and unprotected.
Shared customary codes and values
GOLD IS WORTH ANYTHING For the Magpies, the gold is somewhat sacred: for them, carry it on helps to connect with the Great Dream. There, according to their tales, human and elven anacestors of the Magpie wait for them, and can guide them to good fortune. They always sleep with their gold near them, and they're always willing to achieve more, no matter the way. Tribal Tradition rules: a Magpie half-elf will always try to achieve an item made of gold or that shines like that (by magical or natural means), no matter the risks or the methods involved. Not doing so will be considered a violation of the Tradition and the character will risk become Tainted.
