Clay Ayllu

North of the Salt Desert, some rivers come down from the Bronze Ridge, forming great quagmires. The dwarves that dwell there, the Thuru Ayllu, know how to use the clay from the swamps to make the greatest adobe bricks in Nurna. With them, they build enormous pyramids and stepped zigurats that they call wakkha, the dwarven word for sacred mountain. This is because those pyramids serve as substitutes for the mountains that their clans inhabited centuries ago. The Clay Clan were exiled from their homes after a bloody conflict against other dwarven ayllus, a history now forgotten in dwarven memory, for it was too shameful to talk about. Now, they have to use this "mountain simulacra" as home and palaces, but they're proud of it: no one can match a Clay dwarf in the art of clay.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

THOU SHALT TAKE THE HEAD OF THY ENEMY   Clay Dwarves were exiled from the mountains because of their fierce and warriorlike culture. For them, to take the head of someone is to take their strength and cunning. Thus, they always behead their enemies in combat.   Tribal Tradition rules: Clay dwarf characters will always take the heads of their enemies, if possible. This will take between 1d4 turns for Small and Medium creatures, and 1d6 turns for Large creatures (bigger creatures have skulls to heavy to take).   Whenever they have their skulls with them, Clay dwarf characters will have Inspiration bonus to Attack rolls and Saving Throws, but only if they have as many heads as their Character Level. However, they will suffer Disadvantage in Charisma-related rolls. If the Clay dwarf character drops heads to one half of their character level or lower, they will lose the Disadvantage to Charisma-related checks, but can become Tainted.
Subracial traits   Ability Score Increase: your Strength score increases by 2   Claycunning: substitute the "Stonecunning" trait of the dwarves for this trait. Whenever you make a check related to something made of clay or mud (pottery, adobe, the mud of a hut or even the slime of a riverbank), you are considered proficient in the necessary skill and you double your proficiency bonus in the check, instead of using your normal proficiency bonus.
