Barn Owl Lineage
The Barn Owl lineage of the half-elves claims to be descendants from Owl elves, and share with them the love for nocturnal life. However, Barn Owl half-elves reject raiding as a form of life: for them, night is the time for dreams, and dreams shouldn't be disturbed, no matter who are having them.
For the Barn Owl lineage, the stars of the sky are their most sacred gods, because they represent the place where the souls of those who perish go after death. In order to be with their ancestors (elf, human and half-elf) at any time, they always sleep outdoors, and wear pure white clothes, instead of the black that characterizes Owl elves.

THOU SHALT NOT SLEEP WITHOUT THE COMPANY OF THE STARS
Unlike Owl elves, Barn Owl half-elves don't mind sleeping during day, but stars are so sacred to them that they can't understand the act of spending the night under a roof.
Tribal Tradition rules: a Barn Owl half-elf character will always try to get his or her rest (no matter if it is a Short Rest or a Long Rest) without something above his or her head that would prevent this character from seeing the stars. It will sleep in the open whenever possible, and over a roof, in a balcony or even under a window if they cannot abandon a building (whatever the reason). Sleeping in dungeons that doesn't have a window or opening to the nightsky will be considered breaking this tradition and therefore it will risk becoming Tainted.
